Abstract

Folder contains addresses relating to fundraising efforts for General Rose Memorial Hospital. One speech was delivered by Colonel John A. Smither, Jr., Chief of Staff 3rd Armored Division "Representing the Men of the Division in presenting their contribution of thirty thousand dollars to the General Rose Memorial Fund." The speech was given September 11, 1945 at the Green Gables Country Club. Louis Nizer delivered an address about General Maurice Rose at a luncheon in New York honoring Colonel John A. Mith, J. and Sergeant J. O. Atherton. The speech was given at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on October 2, 1945.

Collection contains a copy of the Colorado History News from April 1995; a copy of the book "The First Twenty-Five Years of the General Rose Memorial Hospital 1945-1970"; a copy of the book "Major General Maurice Rose: The Most Decorated Battletank Commander in U.S. Military History." It also contains a print of recently restored painting of General Maurice Rose, news clippings, photographs, scrapbooks, correspondence, and research materials.
