Abstract

This series contains work done by RBI while consulting for Howard Dean who was running to be the Democratic Party's presidential nomination for the 2004 election. This series contains biographical information about Howard Dean and strategies for key states such as Iowa, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Arizona. This series also contains correspondence, papers strategizing debate answers, personal calendars and scheudles, notes, resumes for campaign staffers, vendors, budget reports, policy plans, and research on this primary campaign and others in U.S. history.

The papers are divided into folders in the same way they had been organized by their owner, Rick Ridder. The folders are also labeled with the same designations that they originally had.

From the Collection:

This collection contains materials related to the poltical campaigns and other endeavors that RBI worked on. Materials include contractual agreements, polling and research, printed relevant articles, advertising scripts, focus group results, ballot drafts, correspondence, staff resumes, presentations, reports, and political strategies and plans.

This collection also contains RBI business files. These files consist of Campaign Training Handbooks, a Ballot Initiative Strategy Binder, How-To guides and manuals, company retreat and trip planning, and company presentations.

This collection also contains political yard signs, campaign posters, and political posters that RBI had in their possession likely through collaboration with these political endeavors.

This collection could be added to in the future.

Arrangement

The folders are in the original order in which they were found in their owner's, Rick Ridder's, boxes. The papers are also divided into folders and labeled as they originally were. It seems like there might be some chronological order to this original organization.

All of these folders and papers were found in boxes from Rick Ridder and are labeled as such.
