Biographical / Historical
Rhetta Shead has worked in the Denver area for over 30 years as a marketing specialist and as a public relations and special event consultant. During her career she has worked in radio, television, and with non-profits. Shead has worked with area cultural organizations including the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Children’s Museum of Denver, the Denver Botanic Gardens, and the City of Lakewood (Heritage Culture and the Arts.) She has chaired organizations such as the Colorado Dance Alliance and First Night Colorado and served for 35 years as the choreographer for the Denver Chapter Beautillion. Currently she works at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance as the Director of Administration, handling the management of the office and theatre as well as overseeing the production of the Annual Gala and Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum. She is Chair of the Dance/USA Manager’s Council for Organizations as well as serving on their Board of Trustees and is a Board member of The Dance Archive where she serves as Chair of the Marketing & Events Committee. Shead is the daughter of 2006 Legend Letitia Williams.
