Container 22: Founders Celebration Banners, 2016-2018

This box contains banners that were used to promote the University of Denver Founders Celebration in 2016 and in 2018. According to the University of Denver, the DU Founders Celebration "recognizes the individuals throughout the decades – from our founding in 1864 to the present day – whose dedication has made an indelible impact on the University of Denver. We celebrate this event each year to honor their visionary commitment to our University and to our world, to create lasting connections and to experience the transformational power of philanthropy, community and intellect."

There are 2 copies of a purple rectangular banner promoting the 2018 Founders Celebration. On one side of the banner it says "2018 Founders" and there is a black and white photo of students on a recreational field posed to spell out a "D" with one person in color who is wearing red DU merchandise. On the other side of the banner there is a matching black and white photo where the students spell out "U" again with one student in color wearing red DU merchandise. On that side, the text states "Many faces, countless stories. We are all founders." and has a link "du.edu/founders". There is also one copy of these same rectangular banner but in green, and one copy of the same banner but in light blue.

There are 2 copies of a cream colored rectangular banner that states "Wednesday, March 2. Founders Forum. Extraordinary faculty, discover innovative ideas" and "The Annual Founders Celebration" with a link at the bottom "du.edu/founders". There is a cartoon icon of the human head with the brain displayed prominently. The back side of this banner is the same. Presumably, this banner is promoting the 2016 Founders Celebration.

There are 2 copies of a cream colored rectangular banner that states "Thursday, March 3. Founders Fest. We are One DU, come celebrate our community" and "The Annual Founders Celebration" with a link at the bottom "du.edu/founders". There is a cartoon icon of 4 arms of different colors (orange, brown, green, and blue) interlinking. The back side of this banner is the same. Presumably, this banner is promoting the 2016 Founders Celebration.

There are 2 copies of another rectangular banner that states "The annual Founders Celebration. March 2-3" and "Robert and Judi Newman. Honorees, the founders medal" with a photo of Robert and Judi Newman. The other side of the banner states "The annual Founders Celebration" and "Celebrating transformative leadership and service" and has a photo of two people dancing. This banner is promoting the 2016 Founders Celebration

Each of these banners is about 1.5 feet by 4 feet.
