University of Denver Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity House with U.S. Army Soldiers Posing, between 1944-1945
Abstract
This item is a black and white 3.5" x 5" photo of the exterior of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity House on the University of Denver Campus. The exterior of the building shows "2271" indicating the address of the building (2271 E Evans Ave) and it shows the greek letters for Lambda Chi Alpha (ΛXΑ).
There are three U.S. Army soliders posing in front of the building. The man standing in the middle of the two seated soldiers is Willaim P. MacGlaughlin, who was born and raised in New Jersey, and was in the Army stationed for training at Lowry Field in Colorado. This photo was taken when William P. MacGlaughlin visited the University with other memebers of his company.
Handwritten on the back of the photograph is "Univ. of Denver Girls Dorm 1944-1945."
