Abstract

Box contains personal correspondence, including holiday cards, invitations, love letters, thank you notes, pamphlets, and associated photographs between or about Ritchie from his friends and family. Box is organized alphabetically first by type and then by name of correspondent: notes commemorating Ritchie's birth; birthday cards throughout the years; blank cards; Christmas/holiday cards; correspondence foldered by decade; Easter cards; invitations; get well cards from an illness in 1947; his 2025 memorial service, political correspondence; Thanksgiving cards; recipes from friends; thank you cards from the Research to Prevent Blindness incorporation; and letters addressing Ritchie's adventures with a yellow shovel.
