Abstract

Box contains photographs, slides, and scrapbooks of the various properties Ritchie owned throughout his life, mostly architectural and landscape: his Summit Ridge house in California, a flower garden, his avocado farm "Rancho Cielo" in California, the construction of Grand River Ranch in Kremmling, Colorado, the surrounding area, the house, publicity and events at the ranch, his other Colorado property Granny's Castle, and loose ranch photographs. Folders are arranged in a general chronological order based on when Ritchie first occupied and owned these properties.

This collection contains materials related to Daniel L. Ritchie, the 16th Chancellor of the University of Denver, including inauguration materials, newspaper clippings, publications and speeches by Ritchie, administrative files, photo albums, video tapes, leather bookmarks and a map of the Colorado Territory (1876).
