Abstract

This series contains photographic materials from Ken Proper. Ken Proper was a photographer who worked with Charlotte Perry and Portia Mansfield. He attended many vacations with them as a photographer. Materials in this series include: photographs from around the world; glass plate negatives; a historic tintype portrait; photographs of people hroseback riding; photos of Portia and her sister in Europe; photographs of Perry, Mansfield, and Smith in Bangkok; photos of a trip Perry took to Mexico City; negatives of an unknown family; annotated by empty photo sleeves; and postcards from unidentified countries.

From the Collection:

This collection materials related to the Perry-Mansfield Dance Camp along with personal papers of Charlotte Perry, Portia Mansfield, and Ingrid Wekerle. Camp materials include administrative papers, teaching materials, scripts, production notes, props, publicity, outreach, clippings, artwork, photographs, photo albums, scrapbooks, tapes, and more. Personal papers include family records; correspondence; research; legal documents; memorials for Perry, Mansfield, and Smith; a map of the Rocky Mountain National Park; and photos taken by Ken Proper.
