Box 8: Scrapbooks, 1992 - 1997

This box contains five (5) scrapbooks created by the ELC.

The first scrapbook is a red scrapbook (1992) titled “ELC Graduation II”, which contains various photographs of the Graduate Preparation Program for students, including photographs of students at a restaurant and playing music in the ELC.

The second scrapbook is a navy blue scrapbook (1993-1994) that consists of various events and field trips hosted by the ELC or attended by ELC students, as well as photographs from the Festival of Nations. Other events include graduation, the Chancellor’s BBQ, and ELC students volunteering at a local elementary school.

The third scrapbook is a beige scrapbook (1994), which contains various photographs of different events and field trips hosted by the ELC.

There is also a red scrapbook (1995-1997), which contains information related to the Korean Mobile Telecom (KMT) Global Training Program. The purpose of the KMT Global Training Program was to provide both English classes and management training to KMT midlevel managers. There are also a few newspaper clippings describing the program and it’s goals, as well as flyers and invitiations to their dinner programs , a luncheon party, and graduation ceremonies. The scrapbook also contains various group photographs and portraits of the program’s participants.

There is one black scrapbook wrapped in ethofoam titled “Random Good Times at the ELC II” (1996-2004), which includes photographs from various field trips and events hosted by the ELC for international students, as well as students from the ELC homestay program.
