Box 86: Photo Negatives, 1953

Box 86 contains approximately 800 large format negatives relating to the Denver Research Institute and DU Institute of Industrial Research, circa 1953. The negatives are numbered from 1 - 1049, although not all of the negatives were present within this range. The negatives are organized into thirteen (13) file folders, each containing 20 sheets of negatives, except for one folder which contains sixteen sleeves with varying sizes of negatives. Subject matter of the negatives include: 1. Projects such as the rhombic-relay antenna system, oil shale plant development, below knee prosthetic limb, FA-498 test flight, and X-Ray machine for the study of internal structure and stresses; 2. Facilities including a chemistry lab, metallurgy lab, audiovisual lab, and engineering lab; 3. Various faculty and staff including Chester M. Alter and W. Kennedy; 4. Events including galas and showcases of DRI products and research and DRI members at the X-Ray Symposium; and 5. Various other DRI related photos including equipment and experimentation.
