The James D. (Mike) McKevitt Papers contain material related to his term as U. S. Representative from Colorado from 1970 to 1972. The collection contains correspondence, work files and related research materials on the various legislative initiatives active during his term. There is particular emphasis on the United States Department of the Interior, particularly irrigation and reclamation projects in the West and public land use.
