Images of John Evans, territorial govenor of Colorado and founder of the University of Denver: 22 copies of black and white prints of portraits of Evans (most portraits in several copies), including an early photograph of Evans from 1853; 1 set of black and white negatives with contact sheet with headshots of Evans; 3 black and white contact sheets without negatives, including headshots of Evans; 1 medium format black and white negative of headshot of Evans; 2 copies of black and white negative of clipping from a book with headshot of Evans; 1 black and white print of Tramway Company building, the site of Evans' home and across the street from the site of the original Colorado Seminary building; 1 black and white print of living room with marble bust of Evans; 2 copies of a black and white print of the document commissioning John Evans as territorial governor of Colorado with inset pictures of Evans and Abraham Lincoln; 1 black and white print of Evans' childhood home in Attica, Indiana. Also includes card with quotes by John Evans. Some images' copyright does not belong to the University of Denver.
