Abstract

Printing plate nailed on a wood block showing a JCRS tent. Above the tent are the words ''Incorporated in 1904''. In the first circle around the image of a tent are the words ''The Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society'' and ''Denver, Colo.'' In the next circle is the JCRS motto in Hebrew that translates as ''He who saves one life is considered as if had preserved the whole world''. The JCRS had a printing shop and book bindery.

This series includes religious, medical, printing, administrative, trophies, and other types of objects used at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society. Examples of objects are Torah scrolls, embroidered towels made by a patient, a Hebrew Corona typewriter, printing cases and type, and a chess trophy.
