Hebrew Typewriter, between 1915-1930
Abstract
This Corona ''Personal Writing Machine'' has Hebrew letters on the keys and types Hebrew characters from right to right. The folding typewriters were made by the Corona Typewriter Co. in Groton, N.Y. from 1910 to 1940. In the case with the typewriter are a cleaning brush and a Corona Personal Writing Machine manual. There is also on AMC Cancer Research Center and Hospital letterhead with Hebrew letters and typed below the letters in English '''He who saves one life is considered as if he had preserved the whole world' Talmud'' and ''The above quotation appeared on all J.C.R.S. stationery.''

Scope and Contents
This series includes religious, medical, printing, administrative, trophies, and other types of objects used at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society. Examples of objects are Torah scrolls, embroidered towels made by a patient, a Hebrew Corona typewriter, printing cases and type, and a chess trophy.

Inscription and Marks
Above the key board is ''Corona'' painted in gold-colored letters. On the back of the typewriter in gold-colored letters is ''Manufactured by Corona Typewriter Company, Inc. Groton, N.Y. U.S.A. XC-R.'' On the top of the roller when typewriter is folded down is a gold-colored sticker with a red border: ''Sold By Western Typewriter Sales Co. 1627 Champa St. Denver, Corona Typewriter, Colorado Wyoming, New Mexico.'' On top of the roller when the typewriter is not folded down is an oval painted in red and gold with a white a bird over a typewriter with the words ''Corona Typewriter'' painted above and below the image.
