 Item — Box: B148.01.0007
Identifier: B148.01.0007

Abstract

A two-piece taffeta skirt and bodice. The bodice is made from buttercream colored taffeta matching the skirt. However, the sleeves are made from a like colored fabric, but not of the same jacquard (woven print). The bodice is slightly V-necked and closes front-center. Two layers of lace (matches the lace used in the skirt) trim the neck, the cuffs, the bottom of the bodice and the gussets on the sleeves. The center back bodice has four metal hoops for attaching the skirt and four finished holes for attaching the bustle-pad. Originally belonged to Frances Wisebart Jacobs.
