Silk Bed Jacket, circa1910
Abstract
An eggshell colored silk embroidered bed jacket with a thin inner lining of silk georgette. This view shows the front of the jacket. Kimono style panels are hand-stitched together and form wide sleeves with cuffs. There are purple, pink, and white silk embroidered flowers and green leaves on the sleeves and back. There are also purple and white silk embroidered butterflies on top of the front panel on each shoulder and on the middle of the back panel. The inside back has a white label with ''Sara Isaacson'' in blue cursive letters. Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.
