Milton Anfenger is speaking at a lectern in an outside venue. It is said that Congregation Emanuel in Denver, Colorado was founded at the bris or circumcision ceremony of Milton Anfenger, the eldest son of Louis and Louise Anfenger. Milton Anfenger became a successful attorney and leader in Denver. He was a president and lifetime board member of National Jewish Hospital and wrote a book about its early history. Anfenger was active in state politics and was elected to the Colorado state senate in 1904.
