Postcard from Dr. Ernst Eylenburg in the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp, 1944 September 1
Abstract
Postcard written by Dr. Ernst Eylenburg in the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp, Czechoslovakia to Karin Steinberg in Vetschau, Germany. Preprinted postcard with blanks Dr. Ernst filled in so that the message reads, "Theresienstadt, on 1. 9 1944, Revered Miss Karin, I gratefully acknowledge receipt of your package on August 1944, Ernst Eylenburg." The address side of the postcard has Eylenburg's and Steinberg's addresses and two canceled stamps featuring Adolf Hitler. The postmark is dated September 21, 1944. Eylenburg died in the Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
