Biographical / Historical
Hannah Kahn began dancing in her hometown of Ithaca, New York. After high school, she attended Julliard as a modern dance major. After university, Hannah remained in New York City to continue her dance studies and began her performing and choreographic career. She formed her first company in 1975. She moved to Denver, in 1988, setting her works on other companies. A few years later, 1992, the Hannah Kahn Dance Company was incorporated in Colorado. The company has performed in the Denver and Boulder area, presenting many free performances at local festivals and lecture-demonstrations and workshops in local schools.
