Biographical / Historical
Linda Kent began studying dance in her hometown of Buffalo, NY. At 16 years old, she earned a scholarship to Jacob's Pillow to study dance including mime with Ted Shawn. After high school, Linda attended Julliard earning her BS in Dance. Her senior year she auditioned and was accepted into the Alvin Ailey Dance Company. Linda danced with the company for seven years. At age 21, Linda was accepted into the Paul Taylor Dance Company. She spent 14 years as a dancer, teacher, and repetiteur of Paul Taylor works. In 2013, Linda was teaching at Julliard and served as dance director at Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp in Steamboat Springs, CO.
