Biographical / Historical
Virginia Collins Putnam was one of the founders of the Metropolitan Denver Civic Ballet. In 1960, Virginia left the company with Lillian Covillo and Freidann Parker to form Colorado Concert Ballet. Virginia was a student of Lillian Cushing and for many years had her own dance studio. She was known for her volunteering with Colorado Concert Ballet including being a board member, costume designer, company manager, and choreographer.
