Abstract
Howe's Journal includes copies of letters, drafts of articles, technical notes and clippings of his popular astronomy articles in local newspapers. Found between pages 144-145 (May 1910 observations) are undated astronomical position notes penciled on the back of two class schedules (one undated, the other for 1st Quarter 1909-10) and [March?] 4 [year not given] notes in ink on the back of an [1899?] circular from The Woman's Guild of the University of Denver, which was established in fall 1895 as an undenominational group raising funds for student loans, and extending the social, ethical and intellectual life of the University community through lectures and other activities. Also inserted is a copy of Howe's December 22, 1900 statewide circular soliciting reports from the public about ''The Great Fireball'' of Friday, December 7, 1900.
