Abstract
Nancy Dorn presents humorous anecdotes about two events that took place during the University Park Community Council's annual Christmas Carol Sings at Observatory Park, Denver, Colorado, during the 1970s. She relates a story about a misunderstanding with an artificial Christmas tree, and another about the misfortunes of the members of a brass band who play their instruments outside in cold weather.

Scope and Contents
The series consists of 50 oral histories collected by Barry Matchett during 1986. The interviewees were all persons who lived in the University Park neighborhood, and concerned their memories of growing up and living in the neighborhood over a number of years.

Dorn moved to the University Park area of Denver, Colorado in 1968. Dorn was Secretary of the University Park Community Council for three years and was co-founder of a group called, Friends of International Students at the University of Denver. Her husband, Bill Dorn, was Professor of Mathematics at the University of Denver.
