John Carter, a tenor singer from the Metropolitan Opera who performed with the Central City Opera in the 1940 production of "The Bartered Bride" the 1941 production of "The Barber of Seville" and the 1946 pproduction of "The Abduction from the Seraglio," appears here in the opera ''The Bartered Bride.''
