Written on back of photographic print: "John Chapman." Stamped on back of photographic print: "Property of The News Library, Received Mar 1 1955, 220 East 42nd Street, N.Y." Typed on back of photographic print: "Chapman, John, 3-30-60." Typed on paper glued to back of photographic print: "cutlines. John Chapman, who for thirty years has reported on the American theater for the New York Times, will return to Denver, where he grew up, to address the Friends of the Denver Public Library dinner April 8. The event will be on the first floor of the Main Library and Mr. Chapman's optimistic title will be, 'New Hope for the Theater.'"
