Typed on newspaper clipping glued to back of photographic print: ''In an effort to make the Central City production of ''Carmen'' authentic, producer Dr. Herbert Graf is studying the original manuscript of the famous opera in Europe. Because so many standard versions of ''Carmen'' are distortions of the original, the Central City producer plans to stop in Paris to study Bizet's original manuscript of the opera in the conservatory there. Dr. Herbert Graf.''
