Abstract

Portrait of Chester Ludgin, a baritone singer from the New York City Opera who performed with the Central City Opera in many productions from 1959-1966; 1959 production of 'The Ballad of Baby Doe' as a Saloon Bartender, also in 1959 as Franke in 'Die Fledermaus,' in 1960 as Amonasro in 'Aida,' and as Lord Henry Ashton in 'Lucia di Lammermoor,' in 1961 as Geroges germony in 'La Traviata,' in 1962 as Jack Rance in 'The Girl from the Golden west,' and as Marcello in 'La Boheme,' in 1963 as Count di Luna in 'Il Trovatore,' 1964 as Jeff Stafford in the primiere of 'The Lady from Colorado,' in 1965 as Figario in 'The Barber of Seville,' and in 1966 as Horace Tabor in 'The Ballad of Baby Doe.'
