Abstract

Portrait of Spiro Malas, a bass-baritone singer who performed with the Central City Opera from 1961-1964; 1961 as Dr. Dulcamara in 'The Elixir of Love,' in 1962 as Jake Wallace in 'The Girl From the Golden West' and Benoit in 'La Boheme,' the 1963 production of'Don Giovanni' as Leporello, as Rutledge Blunt in the 1964 production of 'The Lady from Colorado' and as Prince Yamadori in 'Madame Butterfly' during the same season.
