John Reed in ''H.M.S. Pinafore'', 1968
Abstract
Portrait of John Reed, a baritone singer from the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company who performed with the Central City Opera in 1955 and 1968. Reed performed in the productions 'Trial by Jury' as The learned Judge and in 'The Yeoman of the Guard' as Second Citizen in 1955. In 1968 he performed in the productions 'H.M.S Pinafore' as The Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph Porter, K.B.C, as Ko-Ko in 'The Mikado,' Jack Point in 'The Yeoman of the Guard,' as Major-General Stanley in 'Pirates of Penzance,' and as The Load Chancellor in 'Iolanthe,' appears as Sir Joseph Porter in the opera ''H.M.S. Pinafore.''
