Opera House Garden
Abstract
Black and white photograph of garden space located between the Central City Opera House and the Teller House. Caption for image can be found in 'Historic Central City; Gold! and now Glamour,' by Caroline Bancroft:' In 1934 the lots between the Opera House and the Teller House were cleared to plant a garden. An arrastra used in '59 to crush are and hand-hewn pestles taken from early stamp mills are ornaments and historical souvenirs worthy of the viewer's intent study in the foreground. In the background are steps leading to the Mine Museum path and, protected by rails, the hole of the poor Opera Lode.'
