Abstract
Members of the Colorado chapter of the National Organization for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) talk with Sen. Dominick (R-Colo.) in the Senate Reception Room of the United States Capitol. From left to right are Sen. Dominick, Barbara Coopersmith, Irving P. Andrews, a Denver attorney and a graduate of the University of Denver's School of Law, and Reverend L. Sylvester Odom. Attendees of the Legislative Strategy Conference, which took place from August 6-8, 1963, visited members of Congress in order to elicit their support for civil rights legislation. Sen. Dominick voted in favor of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
