On the left of the certificate is a list of the nine nations represented by the assembly; Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania. The Assembly of Captive European Nations was composed of refugees from Eastern European countries who worked to free member nations from Communist dictatorships. Senator Dominick supported efforts to prevent the spread of communism during his tenure in Congress.
