Abstract
Sen. Dominick (R-Colo.) listens to Dr. Joseph P. Kerwin, M.D., National Aeronautics and Space Administration astronaut and 1st physician in space, as he discusses the Skylab Cluster during a tour of the Manned Spacecraft Center at NASA in Houston, Texas. Dr. Kerwin, standing in shirtsleeves, was a pilot on Skylab 2 (SL-2), the first manned mission to the Skylab 1 Space Station. Albert Fay is on the senator's right and Nancy P. Dominick, the senator's wife, stands on his left. Harry B. Combs, a Denver native, author, and aviator as well as a former president of Gates Learjet Corporation and founder of AMR Combs, stands slightly behind Mrs. Dominick. Comb's wife, Virginia (Ginney) Combs stands to his left. Charles Dyas stands with his hand on a stanchion. A sign dangling from the railing in the left side of the photograph reads Controlled Access Area.
