Abstract
Senator Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) answers questions during a segment of NBC's radio program, Youth wants to know, on Sept. 25, 1966. Sen. Dominick discusses the actions Republicans would take to reduce inflation, the value and effectiveness of numerous government programs including welfare, anti-poverty, Head Start and the Job Corps; the basis for support for the Republican Party, trade with communist countries, U.S. foreign aid, the Vietnam War, including the effectiveness of U.S. air strikes; the presidential election of 1968, the differences between the Republican and Democratic political parties, China's admission to the United Nations and its relationship with its Asian neighbors, the draft classification system including exemptions, the growth of federal bureaucracy and the benefit of decentralization of government, and tax credits for higher education.
