Abstract

Senator Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) delivers his weekly radio address, Report from Washington, on Apr. 21, 1965. Sen. Dominick discusses topics including the high salaries and fees paid to anti-poverty officials and consultants in New Jersey, New York and Virginia; the comparatively small amount of federal dollars allocated to West Virginia, an Appalachian area of severe poverty, compared to Texas and Minnesota, the far less poverty-stricken home... states of the President and Vice President; and the Neighborhood Youth Corps, a program designed to aid high school dropouts, which actually provides financial incentives for students to drop out of school.
