Abstract

Senator Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) delivers his weekly radio address, Report from Washington, on October 22, 1965. Sen. Dominick discusses the bill that will amend the Sugar Act of 1948, tracing the recent history of sugar imports into the United States from Cuba and other countries, reviewing the impact of the global quota system and the sugar crisis in 1962, and talking about the subsequent increase in domestic production and its effect on sugar prices and the sugar supply.
