Dominick report. Florissant fossil beds, 1968 May 3
Abstract
An unidentified announcer delivers the Dominick report, a weekly radio address summarizing news events for Colorado residents, on May 6, 1968 in Washington, D.C. The announcer reads a letter from Senator Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) to Senator Alan H. Bible (D-Nev.) regarding the Florissant Fossil Beds in Colorado, in which he requests hearings on the resolution (H.R. 5605) to establish the beds as a national monument. The announcer also discusses a bill co-sponsored by Dominick and Senator Jacob K. Javits (R-NY) that would establish a corporation to provide funds for industrial development and technical assistance to developing countries. He also announces the authorization of a study by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers meant to increase water supply to the San Luis Valley. The study is the result of a resolution made to the Senate Public Works Committee by Senators Dominick and Gordon R. Allott (R-Colo.).
