For the record. Vietnam bombing, gun bill, 1967 August 23
Abstract
Senator Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) answers questions from Colorado constituents during a segment of his For the record radio program on August 23, 1967 in Washington, D.C. Sen. Dominick discusses concerns that the bombing of targets near the North Vietnamese-Chinese border by the U.S. military will anger the Chinese government. Dominick says that he believes that only the movement of U.S. ground troops into North Vietnam would be seen as an act of aggression by the Chinese. He also states that he disagrees with the restrictive aspects of recently proposed federal firearms legislation, saying that these gun control bills will not effectively control crime.
