Typed on label on back of photograic print: ''News of New Resources - January 1962, cutlines, w/ story Boettcher Center. Footings and part of the foundation for the auditorium - lecture hall of the Boettcher Center are to the south of the other two units in the project. The auditorium will have a seating capacity of 400 and is designed for the showing of films as well as for lectures and demonstrations. The building will also include physics and chemistry preparation rooms. This picture faces southeast from the west unit of the Center.''
