Abstract

Newspaper clipping with halftone print of exterior view of original University of Denver (Colorado Seminary) building and Governor John Evans' house in Denver, Colorado before 1880, clipped from the February 26, 1939 Rocky Mountain News. The caption in the background reads "The starting place of the Pioneer Educational Institution of the West. This is the original building of the Colorado Seminary, the parent organization of the University of Denver. The building was located at 14th and Arapahoe sts. The modest home in the background was the residence of Gov. John Evans."
