Series 1 contains correspondence to and from Jack Foster. The correspondence up to 1969 is dominated by correspondence with Dwight D. Eisenhower and correspondence with Scripps Howard Newspapers about his relationship with Eisenhower. Correspondence 1964 to 1970 continues his correspondence with presidents, including Richard Nixon.
