The Denishawn School of Dancing was founded by Ruth St. Denis and Ted Shawn. The performing company and dance school existed in the U.S. from 1914-1931. Notable members of Denishawn include: Ruth St. Denis, Ted Shawn, Doris Humphrey, Martha Graham, and Charles Weidman.
