Abstract
Founded in 1980 to “coordinate and improve existing services and programs and to provide initial leadership and fiscal resources for the development of additional opportunities for women throughout the University.” The WRC provided information, referrals, a resource collection for students and scholars doing research on women, teaching/research colloquiums, departmental liason meetings and a small grants program which awarded at least 41 awards in 4 years to students, staff and faculty for equity projects. Reported to the Office of VC of Academic Affairs. Director was Jodi Wetzel. Budgetary support was withdrawn in July 1984 during university's financial hardship.
