Biographical / Historical

Delta Sigma Pi was founded Nov 7, 1907 at New York University in the School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance. The second chapter was established at Northwestern School of Commerce. The University of Denver Chapter, Alpha Nu, was established 1925 and is still active on campus as of 2022. Delta Sigma Pi was established to foster the study of business and is the nation's first co-ed business fraternity. The organization published its first newsletter in 1911, soon to be named The DeltaSig. National leaders meet every other year for the Grand Chapter Congress.

Scope and Contents

Collection is comprised of three boxes, including one flat box with two large framed memorabilia pieces: one listing the first class of Delta Sigma Pi initiates on Oct 10, 1925 and one listing winners of the Delta Sigma Pi scholarship from 1926-1955. The other two boxes include membership information, newsletters, press clippings, other publications, 2004 reunion information and copies of the Delta Sigma Pi survey of universities offering "organized curriculum in commerce and business administration" for 1926-1974.

Multiple series arranged in Boxes 1 and 2. As more materials are accrued, will expand to multiple boxes.
