Biographical / Historical

Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society for education and was one of the first discipline-specific honors societies. The society was founded in 1911 at the University of Illinois. Chapter membership is limited to the top 20 percent of students entering the field of education. The University of Denver chapter, Alpha Lambda, was founded May 22, 1926. Its succesor was Phi Kappa Chi, local honorary educational fraternity founded May 15, 2924. As of 2022, this organization was inactive on campus.
