BIOGRAPHY BY ARTIST

Karen Martin is a self-taught artist from Florida. Between the years of 1976-1993, she created nearly 1000 paintings. The styles ranged from ancient Egyptian, sand sculptured paintings, abstracts and contemporary custom works. Now residing in Colorado and after a 26-year break, she started painting again in 2019. This new series, “Women” consists of 15 large-scale figurative, original works. The women are always in color and the men are painted in black and white. Each painting from this series takes the artist between 350-700 hours to complete. Karen is currently working on “When Marilyn Met The Queen."
