This collection also contains materials published by the Zeta Tau Alpha social organization to be used across all their chapters. Zeta Tau Alpha is an international women’s fraternity.

This collection also contains materials produced by the Zeta Tau Alpha social greek organization at the University of Denver. Zeta Tau Alpha established their chapter at the University of Denver in 1921 and it lasted until 1934. The Zeta Tau Alpha chapter at the University... of Denver is now inactive.

Biographical / Historical

The Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity is an international women's fraternity founded in 1898 in Virginia. The University of Denver chapter was established in 1921 and functioned until 1934. The University of Denver Zeta Tau Alpha chapter is now inactive, but the fraternity still has active chapters across the U.S. and internationally.

Scope and Contents

This collection includes materials and memorabilia from the the Fifth Annual All Colorado Zeta Banquet, Under the Big Top, on November 8, 1929. Objects are paper clowns and a paper elephant which might have been used as decoration at the event.

This collection also contains books published by the Zeta Tau Alpha organization itself, not specifically by the University of Denver chapter. The books include "the "Constitution and By-Laws of Zeta Tau Alpha," "Songs of Zeta Tau Alpha," and "The History of Zeta Tau Alpha 1898-1948."

This collection could be added to in the future.

Arrangement

This collection is arranged into two series. The first series contains the books published by Zeta Tau Alpha, and the second series contains the flat box storing the paper memorobilia created by the University of Denver Zeta Tau Alpha chapter. The books are stored alphabetically. These series are currently stored in the same box.
