Abstract

The collection contains (5) digitized photographs related to William Silverberg, one of which includes his brother Harry. Two pictures feature the Jolly Bachelors' Club, one features the Unitonian Club, one features four people on hourseback, and one features the Park Hill Golf Tournament participants. William Silverberg was born on September 19, 1896, and died in December of 1982. He married Flora Silverberg and had two children, Ric Silverberg and Joan Cahan. Ric Silverberg donated the collection. Harry Silverberg, William's brother, was born on January 7, 1901, and died on April 14, 1985.

Biographical / Historical

William (Bill) Silverberg was born in Denver, CO on September 19, 1896, and died in Denver in December of 1982. He owned the Denver Ice Cream Brick and Dainty Co. before he left for World War I. He married Flora Silverberg in 1938, and had two children, Ric Silverberg and Joan Cahan. Ric Silverberg donated the collection. Harry Silverberg, William's brother, was born in Denver, CO on January 7, 1901, and died in Denver on April 14, 1985. He was a businessman in newspaper sales, and a golfer at Green Gables Country Club. He was afilliated with Congregation Emmanuel, and a supporter of the Anti-Defamation League.

The collection contains (5) digitized copies of photographs from 1910 to 1948. The photographs feature either William or Harry Silverberg. Three photographs feature Jewish social club events. One photograph features William on horseback. One photograph features participants in the Park Hill Golf Tournament. All pictures are in black and white.
