Abstract

Robert Weinberg was born in Denver, Colorado, to David and Faye Weinberg. His aunt was Rose Weinberg, a nurse during World War II. Robert Weinberg was a photographer for more than forty years. His career first started in East St. Louis, Illinois, as a Vista Volunteer photographer. He moved to Colorado and started his own photographic business in the late 1980's. His most well known images are photographic portraits of famous people, such as, Pope John Paul II with President Bill Clinton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Elie Wiesel. Fascinated with portraiture, Bob continued his photographic endeavor with The World in Denver series, which focused on the many different faces of the Denver, Colorado community.

Collection contains photographs and negatives related to the Colorado Jewish Community taken by photographer Robert Weinberg from 1980 through 2010.
