Abstract

Dr. Bob Pliny, creator of the artist book "Oh Come Celebrate the Sacred Soil!", donated his rough drafts, outlines, and notebook he used during the creation of this book. His letter of explanation, included in the collection, says "I am not a poet; I am simply using the language of wonder and delight to express my ideas."

Biographical / Historical

Dr. Bob Pliny is an artist, author, and encyclopedist residing in Portland OR for over 30 years. He earned a BFA from Cooper Union and a Masters of Art Therapy from Marylhurst College. Beginning in 2012, he creates one-of-a-kind artist books that explore the thermes of personal philosophy, Eastern philosophy and practice, and Existentialism. Most of his books use an accordian binding with hard cover, and he sometimes uses prose or metered verse to express his ideas.
